Mezcal’s began with a dream. After coming to New York City from Puebla, Mexico in the early 1970s, Moises Gallardo worked hard to build a better life for his family and share the flavors of home with his community. Since opening the first Mezcal’s in 1989, our family has proudly served authentic Mexican food rooted in tradition, hospitality, and love.

When the first Mezcal's opened in 1989, it was more than a restaurant - it was the result of years of perserverance, unity, and pride in their roots. As the family grew the business, the heart behind it remained the same : to share authentic Mexican food, warm hospitality, and a sense of home with every guest.
Today, Mezcals continues to honor that legacy through regional Mexican flavors, family tradition, and the belief that the best meals bring people together.

Camarones Al Ajillo
A Mezcal's classic favorite featuring 8 tender shrimp sauteed in a rich garlic and white wine sauce, served over perfectly cooked rice for a flavorful and satisfying dish.

Enchiladas Tricolor
Discover the three signature sauces that have been served at Mezcal's for over 30 years - cherished family recipes passed down from one generation to the next. This comforting classic features three corn enchiladas stuffed with choice of ground beef, shredded chicken, or cheese, then topped with each of our traditional sauces: mild red roja, spicy green suiza, and our rich signature mole. Finished with melted cheese and served with rice and refried beans.

Carnitas Mexican Soft Tacos
Three soft corn tortillas filled with tender, savory baked pork carnitas, topped with fresh pico de gallo and our signature guacamole. Served with rice and refried beans.
